There is no end to the ridiculous hypocrisy of the US empire. The US treats Panama as a colony, with no respect for its sovereignty: -Trump vowed to take over the Panama Canal. -Marco Rubio forced Panama to withdraw from China's Belt and Road Initiative. -The US demanded that Panama remove Huawei telecommunications equipment and kick Chinese representatives out of canal committees. -And don't forget that the US invaded Panama in 1989! Panama's courts issued an absurd, politically motivated ruling against China, under intense US pressure. So China took action to defend itself against the anti-China policies that Panama implemented under US pressure. But now the US outlandishly claims to support Panama's sovereignty against so-called "bullying", when it was the US empire that violated Panama's sovereignty and bullied it in the first place. The cynicism is mind-blowing.
