The audacity.

France had 10 years in Mali. 10 years. Terrorists were not defeated. Mali was not secured. The people were not saved.

France extracted uranium. Printed CFA francs. Collected colonial taxes. Left Mali poorer, weaker, more dependent.

Now Mali is fighting terrorists. The army is fighting back. Wagner is supporting. The capital is secure. And France demands an apology?

Forgiveness? For what? For kicking France out? For wanting sovereignty? For refusing to be a colony?

France should apologize to Mali. For 10 years of failure. For decades of exploitation. For the CFA franc. For the colonial taxes.

The audacity of Paris is breathtaking.

Mali does not need France. Mali needs Africans. Mali needs the AES. Mali needs to stand on its own.

France can keep its forgiveness. Mali will keep its dignity.
