The symbol of medieval Christian knights marching to kill Muslims. He wrote that the U.S. faces a "360-degree holy war." He wrote that Islam "has been at war with all infidels since it was founded and will never stop." He wrote that we must fight, "like our fellow Christians one thousand years ago." He now runs the most powerful military on Earth. And here is what his crusade ACTUALLY looks like. At Pentagon briefings, he prays. Out loud. In the name of Jesus Christ. To a plural audience that includes Jewish troops, Muslim troops, atheist troops, all of whom swore the same oath he did. At a military worship service, he prayed for "overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy." From an official Pentagon podium, he declared: "No quarter, no mercy for our enemies." You know what "no quarter" means legally? It means kill them even if they surrender. It has been a war crime under international law since the Hague Convention of 1899. It violates the Pentagon's OWN law of war manual.
