THE U.S. NAVY, scared of being attacked by Iran, is declining all requests to help non-Chinese ships through the Strait of Hormuz, multiple sources said today.
They can’t do it because “the risk of attacks is too high,” a source told Reuters last night.
Ship captains are requesting the promised US Navy escorts on a daily basis—but all are being rejected. An estimated 1,000 ships are stuck in the area.
The US yesterday claimed that one ship had been successfully escorted by the US Navy through the Iranian waters, but then withdrew the claim. Energy Secretary Chris Wright wrote on X yesterday: “The U.S. Navy successfully escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure oil remains flowing to global markets.”
But the post was quickly deleted.

CBS NEWS' CLAIM
Meanwhile, CBS News, quoting US intelligence, claimed that floating mines made in Iran, China and Russia were about to be deployed in the waters. However, no other source backed the claim, no evidence was provided, and both CBS News and US Intelligence are not considered impartial sources, even in the US.
The claim appears to be an attempt to provide justification for the humiliating climb-down by the US Navy.
Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said the withdrawn claim of a successful Navy escort was planted to try to provide support to tumbling stock markets. “U.S. officials are posting fake news to manipulate markets,” he wrote on X.

CONCERNS MOUNTING FOR ALLIES
The withdrawal of the escort pledge provides undeniable evidence that the Iranian army is proving to be a formidable foe, despite US President Donald Trump’s declaration that it has already been completely destroyed.
And it also humiliates the US and Israel—if the two wealthiest armies in the world can be held at bay by a poor country damaged by illegal sanctions for decades, Washington’s grotesque “might makes right” stance crumbles.
Concerns are mounting. While China, well on its way to becoming the world’s first electrostate, has plenty of overland energy suppliers, US allies such as Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and South Korea, have become dependent on oil transiting the Straits of Hormuz.
.
FAKE NARRATIVE
In a Washington DC briefing yesterday, General Dan Caine admitted that had yet to finalize plans for the US Navy escorts, indirectly admitting that the process was not happening.
The US and its allies are desperate to justify a war that has been confirmed as illegal by legal scholars worldwide, including from the US.
Western corporate media outlets are continuing to reprint a fake narrative from NED-funded NGOs spinning the story of an armed insurrection in which 3,011 people on all sides lost their lives, into a horror tale of 30,000-plus “peaceful protesters” killed “by the regime”.
All corporate media, including the Guardian, Sky and the BBC, are hiding the funding of the NGOs from their audiences.
