This is not Netanyahu's endgame. Read the Yinon Plan, including Israel Shahak's introduction: "The real aim of... the present Israeli establishment is clear: To make an Imperial Israel into a world power. In other words, the aim... is to deceive the Americans after he has deceived all the rest." Netanyahu does not want Israel to be the US's Middle East enforcer. He wants Israel to supplant the US as a global power.
