It was war leverage.
It was the right of a protected elite
to profit from another manufactured emergency.
America itself comes last.
Its workers last.
Its families last.
Its truth last.
Trump does not misspeak.
He translates.
He translates imperial policy into its real language,
the language it usually hides
behind think tank jargon and patriotic theater.
Money.
That is what all the speeches collapse into in the end.
Money made from fear.
Money made from fire.
Money made while telling the public to be grateful for leadership.
