Israel launched its colonization of Palestine in 1948 the same way. It dropped leaflets over Palestinians, threatening to carry out a Nakba against them if they didn't surrender. The Israeli army coined the term "Nakba" in the leaflet below, which it translated to "Holocaust."

Israel is dumping leaflets on Beirut, pictured below. The 1st calls on Lebanese to disarm Hezbollah and get in contact with Israeli intelligence if they have any information. The 2nd flier warns that Lebanon could face what Gaza did, ie, total destruction.
