For decades, Western powers wielded sanctions like a blunt instrument,crushing economies, destabilizing societies, and punishing entire populations whenever a country stepped out of line. These weren’t “targeted” tools; they were ruthless, systemic pressure campaigns that left lasting damage. Now the tables are turning. Iran,and others,have learned the game, adapted to it, and are beginning to weaponize the same kind of economic pressure in reverse. What was once a monopoly of the West is now a contested battlefield. The bottom line? The West normalized economic warfare,and now it’s no longer the only one pulling the trigger.....
