The darkness is spreading. All states of Western Asia have been captured or crushed by the tyrannical US-Israel Axis except for Iran, half of Yemen, and half of Lebanon. Lebanon has been free of colonial domination for only 82 years. The US-Israel Axis is working to end that by corrupting the government, trying to provoke a civil war, assassinating leaders, and bombing the country. The Israeli apartheid regime, with US backing, is again attacking Lebanon today, even as the regime carries out genocide in Palestine, occupies three countries, bombs Iran, and commits serial aggression and murder across the region. The job of an army is to defend the country from external enemies, not to threaten its own people on behalf of those enemies in hopes of appeasing them. History has taught us that tyrants do not relent through acquiescence, and that historic moments like this call for sumud, not complicity. The roots of the Cedar are fed by Lebanese soil, not by Washington or Tel Aviv. To disarm or obstruct the Lebanese resistance at this moment would mean the end of Lebanese sovereignty and independence, perhaps for generations. #Freedom
