I hate to say that, but it looks like some financiers—the Rothschilds, the J.P. Morgans, the Medicis, those types—are fomenting it and won’t be satisfied until they get it. I think there will be very heavy, deep recriminations if they do, because this will not be fun for anyone. You won’t be able to go into the market, ride in and out, and make fortunes off this. At its most profound level, you’re looking at a nuclear exchange—then a large nuclear exchange. And what troubles me most is that, in my country—in the empire—we’re walking down it with fools. Absolute fools. And I don’t just mean one or two. I mean a whole horde of them—from Hegseth and his Christianity, to Trump and his grifting, to Gabbard and her lack of courage, to Bessent and his disdain for children dying. You name it.
