So in the space of a single year we've gone, in the official rhetoric, from: global policeman -> hemisphere policeman -> quarter-sphere policeman.
Maybe - just maybe - they'll eventually stumble upon Westphalian sovereignty and the concept of being a normal country with its own borders.
