The real revelation from the Epstein files is the way all of these "leading" figures see other people and the world. They reveal politicians' contempt not only for human rights but for humanity itself. They expose nations whose leaders and former leaders have no respect for basic tenets of cooperative human behaviour but who see power and influence as a commodity tradeable for their personal benefit. They reveal the extent to which wealthy icons of commerce and technology have no respect for people but see countries and populations as resources to be stripped for their personal gain. The conduct of these inhumane predators goes a long way to explaining the appalling conduct of governments and corporations in the international arena. They don't care about the very lives of the people in the countries they invade or bomb, let alone their human rights. They care nothing for the physical suffering and emotional trauma of people left in the shells of the countries they exploit and whose resources they pillage. These people are devoid of respect and empathy for any other human being. Their complete absence of respect for other people, particularly women and helpless children, is a weighted chain around the necks of each and every one of them. They should be burdened by it, and publicly reminded of it, every day they remain on Earth. At the moment these people frame and regulate our lives.
