If this is the Trump Administration thinking, it means that the United States government has no problem with United States Servicemembers being killed as a tripwire for US military action to defend a foreign country. I can think of no more base or crude form of treason than this. To greenlight the killing of your own countrymen for the benefit of a foreign country.
