They shout “China, China, China” every day, as if Beijing built hundreds of military bases around America, not the other way around. These US think tanks crack me up. This is the same country that: • lost to the Taliban after 20 years, • got chased out of the Red Sea by the Houthis, • watched NATO struggle to handle Russia, • and effectively lost the war it encouraged Ukraine to fight. And yet they fantasize about “defeating” a nation that produces 30% of the world’s industrial output and builds more ships in a year than the US does in a decade. Delusion isn’t a national security strategy, but it is becoming a national identity.
