*Press Release Issued by the Government Media Office:*
*In Response to Fabricated Lies Published by the US Central Command Regarding Allegations of "Looting an Aid Truck in Gaza"*
We strongly condemn the claims published by the US Central Command regarding the alleged looting of a humanitarian aid truck by suspected Hamas operatives in northern Khan Younis. We affirm that this accusation is completely false and fabricated, and is part of a systematic disinformation campaign aimed at tarnishing the image of the Palestinian police forces, who are carrying out their national and humanitarian duty of securing aid and protecting relief convoys.
The police forces in the Gaza Strip were responsible for escorting and securing humanitarian aid for a specific period, during which they ensured its delivery to designated warehouses for distribution to needy Palestinian families. They have suffered over 1,000 martyrs and hundreds of wounded among their ranks while performing their duties protecting aid and humanitarian personnel, thus refuting any allegations of their involvement in looting or theft. It should be noted that international organizations have attested that the police forces did not participate in theft operations and, in fact, played a clear role in preventing such activities. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces systematically targeted the police and volunteer security personnel in an effort to perpetuate chaos and facilitate theft in the Gaza Strip.
The police force is exerting maximum effort to maintain order despite the ongoing Israeli interference in the internal situation, which aims to engineer starvation by obstructing the delivery of aid to those who need it. The occupation continues to protect outlaw gangs that engage in theft and robbery, and has allowed them to operate in areas under its control.
The American accusation itself contains fundamental contradictions that confirm its falsity. The US Central Command claims to have "observed suspected Hamas elements," then presents the accusation as an established fact without any material evidence or field reference, and without specifying the day, date, time, or precise location of the incident shown in the video, which we clearly doubt. This is a blatant attempt to mislead public opinion.
We also question: Who are the international partners that the US Central Command referred to without naming them? All international organizations operating in Gaza have repeatedly confirmed in official statements that there are no documented cases of aid theft or looting by Palestinian security forces. Rather, the thieves belong to outlaw gangs fueled by the Israeli occupation, which provides them with weapons and logistical support. These organizations even commend the cooperation and facilitation provided by governmental bodies to ensure that aid reaches those who need it.
The claim that "security forces stole an ambulance and a truck" is a blatant fabrication, unsupported by any recording or evidence. The alleged video contains no footage to substantiate this claim, confirming that the accusation is based on a fabricated and deliberate narrative.
Furthermore, the US Central Command's assertion that "nearly 40 countries and international organizations are operating in Gaza" is another misleading claim. The actual number of organizations providing humanitarian aid is no more than 22, most of which suffer from obstruction and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation, which systematically impedes the entry and movement of aid.
Conversely, we ask: Where is the US Central Command in the face of the daily crimes and attacks perpetrated by the Israeli occupation since the ceasefire agreement came into effect?
• Where is it in the face of the documented killing of 250 Palestinians (91% of whom were civilians), including 97 children, 39 women, and 10 elderly individuals?
