In memory of a million murdered Iraqi children, I say good riddance to this butcher.
I'm old enough to remember the picture of Dick Cheney with this feet up on his desk as he watched the twin towers burn on a TV screen. And I'm old enough to remember when he conspired with other now dead or decrepit neocons to murder or destroy the lives of millions of Iraqis and dismantle, utterly, that ancient civilization so they could loot the country's oil, gold, artifacts, and other treasures, while simultaneously robbing the American public purse of hundreds of billions in 'reconstruction' schemes.
now he's dead. I wonder if he thought all that harm was worth it in his final days. Like Kissinger before him, the world rejoices at his passing. Kushner will be dead someday too. So will Witkoff and Rubio and Biden and Blinken and Clinton (both of them)—and the world will rejoice once more at the passing of evil from the earth.
I wonder if they know that, or if they care.
I wonder if they understand how profoundly empty they are; what a waste of life it is to live such shallow lives, where the pursuit of wealth is all there is, and there's never enough of it to fill the expansive hole inside them.
In memory of a million murdered Iraqi children, I say good riddance to this butcher.
