Well, just a few days ago Vucic explained that US told him in a private meeting it would not sanction Serbian National Oil Company if he promises to nationalize it (it has slightly over 50% Russian ownership, the rest is Serbian state).

Well, just a few days ago Vucic explained that US told him in a private meeting it would not sanction Serbian National Oil Company if he promises to nationalize it (it has slightly over 50% Russian ownership, the rest is Serbian state). Vucic refused, and now the Serbian National Oil Company is sanctioned, which means it cannot buy oil and since Serbia is landlocked and surrounded by NATO, that is that. Croatian pipeline "can't" deliver oil because then they would be sanctioned too. There are other suppliers in Serbia but Serbian National Oil Company is the largest. It will be a major hit on the oil supplies and price in Serbia. There are meetings today, and what is expected is that Russians will sell off just enough share (perhaps to Hungarians) to make Americans happy. I suppose the Dutch didn't even try.
