Trump thinks a 100% tariff will “hurt China.”
Cute.
China’s moved on,
diversified supply chains, dumped U.S. debt, bought gold,
and built redundancy into trade.
He’s waging a war that China already ended
four years ago.
But let’s do the math.
barely buys U.S. soybeans now.
sells oil in RMB.
controls rare earth exports.
mirrors U.S. port fees with reciprocal tariffs.
can’t even get its H₂O shipped.
So who’s actually running out of leverage here?
Trump says, “China’s holding the world hostage.”
