The IDF’s own assessments concede Hamas hasn’t broken, hasn’t lost the will to fight, and that civilians aren’t evacuating en masse. Netanyahu, however, is feeding Washington a fantasy, promising Trump that Gaza’s “last stronghold” will fall and the U.S.-desired “day after” can begin, even as progress on the ground moves at a snail’s pace.
