They wanted a better life, a cleaner place, and a wider sky for the dog. No one mentioned me, who was living in a tent unfit even for a dog."

About the hypocrisy, double standards of the world, Hamed Ashour from #Gaza, writes: "A year ago, I shared the story of this very friendly dog. What a lucky dog he turned out to be, his story was featured in Arab and international magazines, read by over 5 million people around the world, and translated into seven different languages.
At the time, I was contacted by an animal welfare organisation based in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. They wanted to check on the dog’s health and asked for photos of the tent we lived in and guarded together. I sent the pictures, and in return, I received an overwhelming and extremely rare show of sympathy. They seriously explored the possibility of evacuating the dog from Gaza through partner organisations.
They wanted a better life, a cleaner place, and a wider sky for the dog.
No one mentioned me, who was living in a tent unfit even for a dog."
