NEW: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has promised Finance Minister Smotrich that once the proposed 60-day ceasefire ends, Israel will resume the war in Gaza in full force, Channel 12 reports.
“After the pause, we will transfer the population in the Strip southward and impose a siege on northern Gaza,” Netanyahu reportedly told him—reportedly describing the mass population at transfer and concentration camp plan a “humanitarian necessity.”
Israel’s plan includes holding Palestinians in a sealed zone in southern Gaza so military operations can continue in north and central Gaza. Smotrich is seeking guarantees the assault will fully resume once the truce ends to continue remaining in Netanyahu’s coalition.
