REAL THREAT OF AN ATTACK ON IRAN EXPLAINED:
Evacuation of non-essential US personnel & citizens from Kuwait & Bahrain.
Warnings to US ships in the Persian Gulf & preparations for the evacuation of the American embassy in Baghdad.
This also comes amidst warnings from the UK & EU nations to their citizens in region.
There are a few ways to look at this, as the inevitably of an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities appears to be closing in.
Netanyahu’s coalition verges on collapse and he even warned ultra-orthodox parties not to vote to dissolve his government due to imminent security developments.
Although this could all be interpreted as a bluff, combined with pressure tactics against Iran from the EU & US, the recent developments also point towards war. Which must be taken seriously.
Israel has claimed it seeks “total victory” in its seven front war and Iran has always been the ultimate target as it frequently states is the case.
The only way for this war, which includes the Gaza genocide, to end, is with a showdown between Israel & Iran. At least this is the natural conclusion to draw here.
It is likely that Israel will strike nuclear facilities in the event of war & that the US will play a support role in some form.
As laid out by The Heritage Foundation & other influential leading think tank reports, the US believes such a war with Iran can be contained.
The belief is that Iran will respond in a calculated way, hitting solely military targets in response.
However, the real wildcards here are both Hamas & Hezbollah, which the US & Israel could be underestimating.
The goal of the war would be to provide Israel with a propaganda victory, where it claims to have destroyed Iran’s nuclear program, but in reality only does limited damage.
Meanwhile, Israel will no doubt understand that Iran will batter its air fields & military bases, which it will try to cover up.
This, in the American calculation, leads a close to the regional conflict.
Yet, it also threatens to spin out of control & poses a major threat to not only the region, but the world at large. In the most extreme case, Israel could be destroyed & may use nuclear weapons.
This scenario is no longer a matter of if but when & according to the trajectory of the region, if things continue as they are going, the attack on Iran could be sooner rather than later.
The only way to stop this is to end the genocide against Gaza & negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran, something that the US has the power to do tomorrow. But, of course, it appears to have little interest in this.
