Pro-Israel group wants to send army colonel to your campus to explain battle for west’s ‘way of life’
We often feature reports from the dissident Israeli veterans’ organization, Breaking the Silence. It turns out that the Israeli Defense Forces has some American friends who are trying to counter Breaking the Silence with Israeli army propaganda, or hasbara; the organization is called Our Soldiers Speak and says it is “an independent, U.S based, non-for-profit (501 (c)(3)) NGO.” (Interesting that a US group should call Israeli soldiers “our soldiers.”)
An IDF colonel is coming to American campuses in a month; Our Soldiers Speak is looking for takers. An employee of one US campus shared the following offer with us.

He says he is the commander of Israeli infantry, northern command:
I will give you an insight of where Hezbollah in Israel has been since 2006 to today. I will give you an insight as to where Hezbollah is in Syria today…. Hezbollah is no doubt part of Iranian policy. It’s not about a war between Israel and Hezbollah. It’s not about a war between Israel and ISIS. It’s about a war that we are fighting as the front outpost of the west. It’s a war of a way of life. The Israeli military is up to any challenge.
The Our Soldiers Speak site boasts that it has been to 300 campuses, and includes those universities’ seals (likely without permission). The site also features a video of a disruption by students of a presentation, denouncing the Israeli soldiers for war crimes, either in Canada or Massachusetts. The organization introduces the video saying, “Perhaps most alarmingly,” one of the students was Jewish. At 2:01, a student says, “I am Jewish, I have family that was killed in the Holocaust. Never again for anybody.”
The organization asks American viewers, “Would you send your children to a campus like this?”
