photographs in fewer hands. bigger control

the B J  P  has a serious of links  to events in the   world of stock photography  Huge photography collections are being bought out  by   a handful of people with too much financial power. Bill Gates  owns Corbis  and is shifting the French Sygma collection  to the US. The infamous Carlyle Group is buying out  and Getty Images .  i have a feeling that  it is more than the profits that are driving the buyouts.  future control of the world's images may a part of the  great game.  too many images in too few hands is a problem  for Photography and Photographers.

Follow the links . make up your own minds.
