looking back . looking forward

The world did not change on 9/11 . What was,  just continues to be. The same old spin on the same old stories of power and its perpetuation is playing out. As it always did. As it always will. Iran is back in the framing game.  It has not been out of it since the great colonial games began . Especially since oil was discovered  in the region. Oil that was needed to keep the jewel of the crown in the colonial crown.

Read this This and think back.Think forward too. The way to the future is always through the past. Especially as past powers seek to perpetuate their  declining power. Syria is just a short stop along that path. The path that seeks perpetual power and knows no permanent  enemies.  Or  permanent friends.

"To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda."
