So on the same day that President Trump claimed the US has "essentially taken over Iran" itself, Iran escalated the war to fire their most powerful long-range hypersonic "carrier killer" anti-ship ballistic missiles on three US warships including the aircraft carrier USS George Washington forcing it to dodge incoming missile fire. Iran also struck three US-aligned oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz with anti-ship cruise missiles. This has all the makings of a Saturday Night Live skit. You just can't make this crap up. The thing is Trump lies multiple times a day about the war in Iran so even liberal media organizations have largely stopped fact checking all his lies.
