The world is dangerous because some states hate equality.
Because freedom was never the issue.
Control was.
Control of oil.
Control of resources beneath someone else’s soil.
Control of waterways.
Control of borders drawn in blood.
Control of the story told afterward.
And when people refuse to be controlled, suddenly their religion becomes the problem.
Their culture becomes the problem.
Their anger becomes the problem.
Their resistance becomes the problem.
Anything but the empire.
Anything but the boot.
