The "Israel First" era of U.S. politics is hitting a wall as a new generation of voters and even MAGA heavyweights pull back. That's why Netanyahu is becoming increasingly aggressive in southern Lebanon, pushing to achieve as much as militarily possible before Trump bows out. Aaron Maté talked about how such a mindset will change things on the ground. "They see a golden opportunity here. Lebanon will bear the brunt of it because Lebanon is right on Israel's border and Israel can't tolerate people that resist it. They will go as scorched earth as they can; that will be its main focus, especially if Trump doesn't relaunch the war on Iran."
