University of Tehran professor Foad Izadi told Drop Site that Israel’s assassinations of senior Iranian security figures are unfolding alongside a broader effort to trigger unrest inside the country.
He described the coming push over the next 24 hours as “the last attempt this month” to spark violent upheaval, but argued the strategy of mass bloodshed is built on fantasy:
“This is a failed policy. They can kill moderate Iranian leaders, but they are not going to be able to disintegrate Iran. These are pipe dreams. Many Iranians will be killed because of these pipe dreams. Some Americans, maybe many Americans, will be killed because of these pipe dreams.”
Addressing Iran’s broader war posture, he said:
“Iran’s ability to endure pain is greater than the other side. Iranian soldiers are fighting for Iran and the civilized world. American soldiers are fighting for Israel and the Epstein class. It makes a difference.”
