CENSORED Absolutely based response after @dissentcafeandbar was closed last night by police for having these posters in their windows (minus the words censored).We cannot stand by and watch art be criminalised - especially when the art itself is condemning fascism.
As the Arts spokesperson for the ACT Greens, I am following up with the Labor Arts Minister to find out how he's protecting Canberra's artists and our creative community aren't unjustly censored again in Canberra.
Censorship of art stifles creativity, expression, discussion and understanding of the world around us. Art gives us purpose and meaning.
