And no, I'm sorry to report that the DC warmongers and neocons who cheered every brutal, savage conflict over decades -- including the worst crime of the 21st Century in Gaza -- have not suddenly developed a deep, passionate commitment to the political rights of protesters (ask them if they're concerned about the violent, total repression of protesters in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE).
Having the US regime-change Iran for Israel has been the ultimate, supreme dream of Netanyahu and his followers in Israel and the US for decades. Just as neocons exploited 9/11 to justify their long-standing dream of regime change in Iraq, they're using protests in Iran (that they helped instigate and fuel) as the pretext for having the US bomb Iran for Israel and engineer regime change against their primary adversary.
