US Lawmakers Push to Give Al-Aqsa Mosque to Israel
Several pro-Israel members of Congress are drafting a resolution to alter the long-standing status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Led by Claudia Tenney and Clay Higgins, and backed by the Zionist Organization of America and Middle East Truth Foundation. These are groups tied to Netanyahu.
The resolution calls on Congress to “affirm Israeli sovereignty” over the Al-Aqsa compound and recognize “the inalienable right of the Jewish people to full access and prayer” there.
Analysts warn that it violates the 1994 Wadi Araba Agreement, which granted Jordan custodianship of Al-Aqsa, and could inflame the entire region.
This is beyond disrespectful to 2 billion Muslims worldwide.
