"Some people have no idea about the extraordinary amount of money that the military and the CIA and others have put into Hollywood & music & film and TV...but it's not really a focus of my book. In my book I'm really talking about how the mainstream news media...and liberal institutions I think are particularly dangerous bc it's in the name of their liberal values & their supposedly progressive viewpoints & they actually reinforce all of the assumptions and narratives that are essential for the for the rise of an authoritarian moment and so I think they're the the right wing is sort of its own."
