Netanyahu bet his career, his freedom, and his country on a war he could not win. Iran is still standing, Washington turned its back, and the ICC does not forget
The arithmetic is merciless. His coalition is crumbling, his corruption trial advances, and the ICC arrest warrant remains in force. The war that was supposed to save him — suspending elections, freezing courts, turning him into an indispensable leader — achieved none of its objectives. Iran is still standing, the Fifth Fleet has withdrawn from the Gulf, and the country he promised to destroy now produces more missiles than before the conflict. Netanyahu bet everything on a war and lost the table.
The bigger problem is that he has no one left to ask for rescue. Trump, who promised to end the conflict, has lost the room to launch another adventure against the Persian people. Oil prices spike, Congress won't authorize, and the American public no longer buys another Middle East war. When the protector runs out of tools, the protégé runs out of future.
Analysis by Chem. Eng. Moisés R. Hernández, Director of MRH Análisis and World Academic Podcast. Netanyahu bet his career, his freedom, and his country on a war he could not win. Iran is still standing, Washington turned its back, and the ICC does not forget. The man who promised to rewrite the Middle East will end up defending himself in a courtroom.
