Turkey and Egypt Exposed: Starving Gaza, Butchering Yemen, and Serving as US Puppets
The Turkish government has no animosity toward Israel. Turkey is willing to help Saudi Arabia kill the besieged people of Yemen, yet it is unwilling to help the people of Gaza.
The same is true of Egypt. Egypt controls the Gaza border and allowed Israel to maintain a starvation siege on Gaza for an extended period. People around the world begged the Egyptian government to open the border, but it refused. Yet Egypt was willing to support the war against the people of Yemen, a war that Egypt under Sisi, Turkey under Erdogan, and others helped facilitate from the beginning of Saudi Arabia’s genocidal war in 2015.
Trump said he wanted Erdogan to help Saudi Arabia. Egypt, meanwhile, maintains direct communication with the United States. Neither government has taken meaningful action to help Gaza. Both pressured Hamas to accept an unfair ceasefire and then praised Trump for that fake ceasefire.
