New Details Emerge on Iran-Oman Hormuz Deal The agreement will NOT reopen Hormuz. Iran says the strait stays CLOSED until the U.S. fulfills all 7 conditions: 1. End threats against Iran 2. Permanently end attacks on Iran and its allies 3. Lift the naval blockade 4. Withdraw U.S. naval and air forces from around Iran 5. Pay war compensation 6. Lift sanctions 7. Unconditionally release Iran's frozen assets Only then would Hormuz reopen under the Iran-Oman framework.
