University of London Prof. Haim Bresheeth, who also happens to be an ex-IDF soldier, joins the show with a picture that is bleaker than most are willing to admit:

Saudi cannot export oil, its East-West pipeline is down until late October, it cannot use the Bab el-Mandeb, and it is now buying spot oil in Europe, which is exactly why Netanyahu sees an opening: offer military help against the Houthis, extract political concessions in return.

On the Israeli public, Bresheeth is direct: Israelis do NOT understand how much the country is hated abroad, and when they do register it, they call it 'antisemitism' rather than what it actually is, a reaction to Gaza.

On Trump: he has access to the most sophisticated intelligence system ever built and makes no use of it, preferring to take direction from Netanyahu and Mossad because "they tell him what to do and he does it."

All of this feeds into the book Bresheeth is currently writing, "Israel as the Chaos Engine of the West," arguing that American decline began in '91 and accelerated with every war Israel pulled the U.S. into.

The most dangerous window ahead? The six weeks after Trump loses Congress, but before the new majority is sworn in...
