Russia's vision for the world order has been stated clearly, repeatedly, in specific detail, since at least 2007.

Munich Security Conference, 2007. Putin's speech. Re-read it.

He described, in precise terms, the critique of unipolarity: the argument that a world organized around a single dominant power with no countervailing force was inherently unstable and inherently unjust.

He proposed a multipolar framework in which major civilizational powers, including Russia, China, India, exercised genuine sovereignty and participated in international institutions as equals rather than subordinates.

The Western foreign policy establishment called it "aggressive." Called it "revisionist." Called it "a threat."

What it actually was: a clear, coherent, philosophically grounded vision for a different kind of world order.

The West refused it.

Not because the vision was incoherent.

Because the vision required the West to accept genuine limits on its own power.

Russia has been consistent on this vision for twenty years.

The war in Ukraine, whatever else it is, is the direct military consequence of what happens when that vision is rejected absolutely, when NATO expansion continues despite explicit warnings, when the red lines are crossed one by one until crossing them becomes the new normal.

You can disagree with Russia's methods.

But the claim that Russia has no vision is simply not supported by the record.

The vision was stated. It was ignored. And now we are living in the consequences of that choice.
