A Zionist in the “Israelis & Palestinians for Peace” Facebook group asked what I wanted to see in Palestine-Israel. I’m pasting my full response right below.

I don’t think you’ll like my answer, but here it is:

One state with equal rights, regardless of religion, ethnicity, or race, and a right of refugees ethnically cleansed by Zionists to return. As well as reparations to Palestinians for eight decades of Israeli crimes against humanity that have included ethnic cleansing, ghettoization, erasure, occupation, apartheid, and genocide.

Reparations will also have deterrent value and potentially prevent Israelis from ever repeating these heinous crimes in the future. Israeli leaders must also receive fair trials for Israeli crimes against humanity, without U.S. interference, at The Hague. 

Now, Zionists often say equal rights will “destroy“ Israel, which speaks volumes about the racism within that movement. The oppressor must not be allowed to dictate the future of the oppressed. The compassionate world needs to intervene at a far greater level. BDS needs to dramatically expand until it hits every end of the Israeli economy and that horrendous apartheid enterprise falls. 

After eight decades of Israeli oppression, we know Israeli Zionists won’t give up their exclusive rights without sufficient global pressure. The world can’t wait for Israelis to “come around” in another 78 or 780 years.
