You cannot talk about regional peace while pretending Israel’s weapons do not exist.

 Raza Samo

Reporter: “Will Iran give up nuclear weapons?”
Araghchi: “Yes. Iran is committed to peace.”
Reporter: “Then what is the problem?”
Araghchi: “The problem is Israel.”
That answer says everything.
Iran’s position is simple: if the world truly wants a nuclear-free Middle East, then the standard cannot apply to only one country. You cannot demand restraint from Iran while ignoring Israel’s undeclared nuclear arsenal and its repeated threats across the region.
That is not peace.
That is selective pressure.
Araghchi did not just answer the question. He flipped the entire debate. He exposed the double standard at the heart of Western policy: one side is treated as a permanent threat, while the other is treated as permanently above accountability.
Whether people agree with him or not, this was a strategic masterclass.
You cannot talk about regional peace while pretending Israel’s weapons do not exist.
