 U.S. Marines allegedly landed on Iranian soil for the first time in history, and the operation is already going wrong.

Fmr. CIA intel analyst Larry Johnson claims the landing hit Qeshm Island overnight, and immediately ran into trouble. 

In his account, the force met far stiffer resistance than anticipated, with Iranian tunnel networks proving nearly impossible to clear and the operation falling behind plan.

Johnson's bottom line, if his sourcing holds: going in was the easy part. 

Getting out with the mission accomplished is a completely different problem.
