Netayahu is timing this massive constitutional crisis in Israel to before the elections in order to shift the narrative from one about him allowing Haredi men an IDF exemption (unpopular) to him taking on the Supreme Court (popular). It also will allow him to ignore court rulings calling to uphold the integrity of the elections.
