This article is absurd.
Apparently the problem is that China makes products too cheap, too useful, and too competitive.
What should China do instead?
Produce worse goods at higher prices so Western bureaucrats can feel emotionally safe?
Consumers choose Chinese EVs because they offer better value. Nobody is holding a gun to Europe’s head and forcing people to buy them.
Orders come first.
Production follows.
That is called demand.
The West loved “free markets” when its companies were winning, outsourcing, extracting profits, and selling overpriced goods to everyone else.
Now China wins on technology, price, scale, and supply chains — suddenly it becomes an “imbalance.”
This is not China defying history or logic, but it is the West discovering that history no longer bends around its comfort.
They do not want “balance.
They want China to slow down so your overpriced, undercompetitive, bureaucratic industrial museums can survive without learning how to compete.
And invoking 2008 is hilarious.
America nearly collapsed the global economy with financial fraud, Wall Street bubbles, and paper wealth.
China built real factories, real infrastructure, real production capacity — then used real industrial wealth to help stabilize the system.
The West sells bubbles and calls it sophistication.
China builds goods people actually buy and gets accused of being dangerous.
Very normal empire logic.
