President Trump suggested that the U.S. could become the “guardian angel” of the Strait of Hormuz and collect tolls on passing oil and gas.
Prof. Mearsheimer said Trump has no ability to achieve that. He is spewing “nonsense” because he’s frustrated that “he called for unconditional surrender,” but “it was the United States that surrendered unconditionally, not the Iranians.”
