One wonders if Israel was secretly glad Iran fired missiles at them on Sunday after Israel’s refusal to stop fighting HZ in Lebanon, so that they could strike back against Iran, and in that case, Israel is probably expecting a big counterattack from Iran, possibly on Monday.

It appears Israel is doing everything it can to take the decision out of Trump‘s hands about whether to restart the war or not.

What still remains very much an open question, however, is whether Trump will play the dupe again, and simply do what Israel tells him to do after enough missiles start flying.

The absolute best case for the United States: stay out of it and leave Israel on their own. They chose a war, they can finish it, or they can suffer the consequences. But under no circumstances, should the United States rejoin in this foolish war, which would only deepen our strategic defeat.
