Netanyahu sold Trump on toppling Iran in one strike, then watched it fall apart.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says the alignment between Washington and Jerusalem is unraveling fast, and it traces back to one oversold promise.
Netanyahu, he explains, convinced Trump that a single opening strike could allegedly collapse the Iranian regime and trigger a complete regional changeover.
It was a clean, seductive pitch.
Reality didn't cooperate.
The regime stayed standing even as high-profile leaders were eliminated, and Olmert says an increasingly impatient Trump soured on the whole strategy almost as fast as he'd bought into it.
