Trump has singlehandedly reversed every component of American imperialist strength in the region and realized his country's worst fears about Iran.

Under the JCPOA Iran had abided in keeping enrichment under 4% and regularly opened up its facilities to inspectors; whilst the Strait of Hormuz was accessible for everyone— for free. Trump scrapped that for not being enough. And he won't be able to get them to agree to even that ever again— let alone the 20 year complete moratorium the US is now seeking. Hubris; ignorance and arrogance, plain and simple. In doing so, Trump not only managed to reverse those conditions to the detriment of the US, but assured Iran also reversed American deterrence dominance completely in the region; asserting itself as an actual threat to American presence there forever more because it showed itself to be more of a match militarily than ever anticipated. Not to mention developing a full-on capacity to conduct its own form of economic warfare by leveraging the Strait of Hormuz expertly. He didn't just make everything progressively worse for the US in every sense, he reinvigorated Iran's political vision, and in doing so, unified the populous in his very attempts to break them. Trump has singlehandedly reversed every component of American imperialist strength in the region and realized his country's worst fears about Iran. The GCC umbrella and petrodollar supremacy? Shattered. Israel's invincibility? Decimated. None of what the western media made Iran out to be was really true in regards to its capabilities and mandate; until now. Because Trump has pushed them to now having no choice but to defend itself in this way. Iran was actually in a weaker position before this war. It is far more powerful and able to exert itself unlike it was ever before. And if it showed restraint until Ayatollah Khamenei, that has changed as well. The new leadership nexus isn't so concerned with respecting the United States; the distrust engineered from sabotaging the diplomatic path/ negotiations has in fact empowered Iran to take a more direct, adversarial approach and cement itself as a actual super-power. There aren't enough adjectives for the monumental scale of this fuck-up. This reckless underestimation and miscalculation will be studied for centuries to come.

Iran made a deal with the U.S. in 2015 and abided by it and also attempted to negotiate a deal with Trump in 2025 and 2026 on both of which occasions he attacked them during negotiations. Now he wants to make a deal to extricate himself from the war he started but it almost seems
