The Prophecy of Demise and the Inevitability of Internal Collapse

The Prophecy of Demise and the Inevitability of Internal Collapse
In one of the darkest and most alarming political assessments to emerge from within Israeli society, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz published a bombshell article by writer Carolina Landsmann, asserting that the Zionist state is living its final days as a state. She argues that Benjamin Netanyahu—described as a war criminal responsible for ongoing genocide against Palestinians, Lebanese, and Iranians—has effectively fulfilled the prophecy of “the state is me,” and therefore his imminent political demise necessarily means the state’s disappearance and permanent disintegration.
The writer no longer speaks of a temporary political crisis, but of a body consumed by “Netanyahu’s cancer” to the point of total fusion, claiming that he has destroyed the social fabric, dismantled the army, and intimidated the judiciary to such an extent that nothing remains to be saved.
The Achievement of Systematic Destruction and the Point of No Return
The Zionist writer describes Netanyahu’s true achievements as the “systematic dismantling” of everything once portrayed as the “strength of the state,” stressing that attempts by the Israeli president or Supreme Court to buy time are merely illusion and mirage. According to her, the shocking fate is already behind them, and the bitter reality is that the Israel the world once knew is over—now reduced to ruins managed by one man who has become so inseparable from it that his own disintegration means the total collapse of its institutions. She notes that the situation has reached a peak of internal fracture and international hostility, leaving Israel more isolated and ostracized before the world than ever before.
The Trap of Loyalty and the Incurable Malignant Tumor
In a scathing critique of the Israeli opposition, Landsmann argues that they are making a grave mistake through their loyalty to the state, because in doing so they are feeding Netanyahu himself and prolonging his hold on power without realizing it. She compares Israel to a clinically dead body afflicted by a malignant tumor, asserting that attempts to remove the tumor (Netanyahu) in order to save the body will fail because the body has already died and decayed. This harsh rhetoric reflects the depth of existential despair gripping Zionist elites, who increasingly see Netanyahu’s continued rule as a “hangman’s noose” tightening around the neck of the entire state and dragging it toward inevitable collapse.
