This is psychological compensation operating at industrial scale.
An entire culture industry producing catharsis for a national wound that cannot be addressed honestly because honest address would require admitting what the wound actually is.
The wound is not that America lost.
The wound is why America lost.
The wound is what America was doing there.
The wound is three million Vietnamese dead and no accountability and no reckoning.
Rambo cannot fix that wound.
