Palestine FM called Israel's flotilla interception outright piracy on the high seas. They're now demanding UN and EU sanctions on Israel and a full end to the Gaza siege. The legal framing matters. Calling it piracy shifts the argument away from Israeli security justifications and plants it squarely in maritime law, where Israel has far less cover. Gaza's aid access has been a flashpoint for months. With land routes strangled, sea corridors were the last real alternative, and now those are contested too. Source: Al Jazeera
